BALI’s GoLandscape seeks apprentices for Hampton show garden

BALI’s GoLandscape joins Sturgeon in seeking apprentices to build RHS Hampton Court reuse recycle show garden.

BALI Registered designer Andy Sturgeon MBALI is designing a ‘reuse and recycle’ show garden for this year’s RHS Hampton Court Flower Show, and he’s looking for a team of apprentices to help build it.

Andy wants to help promote careers in landscaping and sees Hampton Court as a golden opportunity to reach a huge audience, from the thousands who plan on attending the show, through to the millions of people watching on TV.

David Dodd, one of two BALI board directors responsible for BALI’s GoLandscape careers initiative, and himself an award-winning show garden contractor, was immediately on board with the idea, alongside Philip Tremayne, general manager of the Association of Professional Landscapers. Both BALI and the APL are now urgently seeking support from BALI Registered contractor and Affiliate members, who have apprentices employed with them, to put their names forward for this incredible opportunity to work at a major show with one of the country’s leading Garden Designers.

If you know of any apprentices that would love to take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity, then please get in touch with BALI’s Marketing and communications manager, Darren Taylor darren.taylor@bali.org.uk, with details of the apprentice/s you would like to put forward. The team of apprentices will be mentored throughout the build process by several experienced BALI and APL contractors, working to a set budget with all individual’s travel and subsistence covered.
